ARTIST BIO

Audrey Berck received her BFA in 2017 from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She has exhibited in group exhibitions throughout the Lincoln, Nebraska area. Berck was accepted as an exhibitionist in the nation wide 30th Annual Undergraduate Studio Art Competition. She draws on inspiration from sexuality and body language, as well as examining the fragility of life. Berck primarily works with graphite on paper and acrylic on canvas as she balances between realism and abstraction. She has been involved within a variety of arts organizations such as the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery and Lincoln Partners for Public Art Development in cooperation with the Board for Lincoln Public Art. In recent years, she has been a featured artist at the Naughti Gras Erotic Art Shows in St. Louis, Missouri. Berck's current work exposes the lack of consent in our virtual world - by literally exposing the offenders. Berck currently lives and works in Omaha, Nebraska.

BILLION DOLLAR BABIES

November 3rd - November 31st, 2017

Billion Dollar Babies is a group exhibition made of works by University of Nebraska Advanced Painting Students and curated by Emily Reece. The show's title, in part, takes its name from Alice Coopers 1973 hit of the same title. It's a tongue and cheek acknowledgment of where we stand as young artists in an art world that seems obsessed with auction results and monitory values described to artworks. The show is a celebration of personal expression with an emphasis on figuration. It serves as a gage of current interests and thoughts at the moment.
